2024 Performance Dates & Location

The performance takes place at Skoglund Auditorium, St. Olaf College, 1520 St. Olaf Avenue, Northfield Minnesota 55057.
Parking & Shuttle
Parking is available in any campus lot, with accessible spots available near the Skoglund Center entrance. Check with staff members directing traffic for specific parking areas and directions. Courtesy shuttle buses will be provided from Buntrock Commons to Skoglund. After the concerts, shuttles will run from Skoglund to Buntrock Commons. Expect a 15-minute or longer wait when departing as the shuttle buses may be slowed by traffic. Please note: One hour prior to each performance traffic will be limited on St. Olaf Drive between the Skoglund and Alumni Hall. Guests attending the Scandinavian Buffet are encouraged to take the courtesy shuttle. More information on direction to campus can be found here.
On Campus Dining
Buntrock Ballrooms: A traditional Scandinavian buffet dinner will be available by reservation and ticket purchase December 6, 7, and 8 in the Black, Gold, and Sun ballrooms located in Buntrock Commons. Two seatings will be available prior to each Christmas Festival performance. Please select your seating date and time after purchasing your tickets to the buffet. Seatings will last 75 minutes. Stav Dining Hall: Throughout the weekend Stav Hall will also feature a few highlights of the Scandinavian Buffet for $16.95. Guests can pay directly at the dining hall entrance during Friday dinner (4:30 – 7:00 p.m.), and Saturday & Sunday brunch (11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.).

Norseman Band Christmas Singalong
The annual Norseman Band Singalong takes place Friday, December 6 at 4:30 p.m. in Boe Chapel, conducted by Dr. Michael Buck.
Christmas Festival Warming House
Alumni and Parent Relations will sponsor a Christmas Festival Warming House on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Center for Art and Dance. Stop by on your way to Skoglund for this special event in honor of the college’s Sesquicentennial. Warm-up with a cup of gourmet hot chocolate, view a digital exhibit about the history of the Christmas Festival, and enjoy other fun surprises! All are welcome.
Christmas Bells by the St. Olaf Handbell Choirs
St. Olaf Handbell Choir will perform on the 2nd level of Buntrock Commons on Saturday, December 7 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
St. Olaf Band Sunday Service
The St. Olaf Band will perform at their annual service during Christmas Festival weekend on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. CT in Boe Chapel. This event can also be joined by livestream.
